Choice
one: Book Project Ideas That Require Only a Pencil or Pen!
*Photo Album-Get your gadgets! Do you have a camera on
that fancy phone of yours? Start taking pictures and create a visual diary!
Must have 6 or more pages with pictures and explanations that show progression
of the story or character(s).
*Map-Where? How do I get there? GPS what?? Draw a map that is relevant to your book or show the the journey your chararcter(s) took. Every map has a specific purpose; your map must reflect this. Must include a title, key, North indicator, labels, shading or coloring and must be neat and organized.
*Book vs. Movie-Movie time! Read the book...yes. Watch the movie? Sure!!! Now, how did the movie do? What did it leave out? Because the movies always leave a little something out! Or sometimes they even add to the book? What?? Did the movie do justice to the book? Be creative and make a presentation with at least 6 slides or write a paper that is
1-2 pages that compares the book to the movie. *Must be at least 2 pages if it is hand written.

LIBRARIAN -Time to add a new book/magazine to the library. But WHY this one? Write why you, as the librarian chose this particular book or magazine to put into the students hands Make sure that it is 1 - 2 pages (Must be 2 pages if it is handwritten)
NEWSPAPER-Time to be a reporter and get the gossip! Write two newspaper articles (in the time period of the book of course) relating something juicy that happened! Make sure that it is 1 - 2 pages (Must be 2 pages if it is handwritten)
SCRIPT -Time to be in pictures! Write a detailed scene from your book. Or make that magazine article its own "mini-movie" and put it into dialog format. Show who is talking...show what they are saying...think about how this would look on the "BIG SCREEN!" Make sure that it is 2 - 4 pages (Must be 3 pages if it is handwritten)
EULOGY -So Sad...two of your favorite characters have passed on into the great beyond. But lucky you! You have been asked to write their eulogy. Tell the readers what each person was like and what they loved and lived for! Make sure that it is 1 - 2 pages (Must be 2 pages if it is handwritten)

Comic Creator - Get a laugh. Go ahead. You're funny! Make a comic strip of your favorite scene or even that political cartoon from that magazine you just read. Click on the link and follow the directions. Laughter is the best medicine! Must have at least 6 panels that show your understanding of the novel and characters.
Glogster-Simply put, a Glog is a kind of poster--fully designed by yourself! Glog is a fancy creation from text, images, music and video. Your Glog will stand out. It gives you a perfect tool to express yourself. Be as creative and show your understanding of the novel and characters.
*Make a movie-Time to really make a movie! Be appropriate please! You could use any of these movie-makers: Windows Movie Maker, Photo Story, or iMovie. You and a friend could be FAMOUS! Do an interview with a character, act out a memorable scene from the book, or create a TRAILER. Save to a jump drive to share when you come to...school. That's right. School.
*Music CD- Include 4 songs that you think best reflect the novel or characters. Write a brief explanation (at least one paragraph) of why you chose that song or music. Use the CD/Cover Creator to make the cover to for the CD that you make or draw it by hand!
*Storybird-Storybird lets you use an artist's artwork to create stories. Use the art work they provide to write about your book! It's easy and fun! Make sure that you have at least 6 pages and that you show your understanding of the novel and characters!
*Prezi/PowerPoint/ Keynote-Make an interactive presentation that is so cool! Make sure that your presentation has at least 6 slides and that you show your understanding of the novel and characters!
